The Guide to Government Records is the finding aid created to assist users in their quest for particular records. It describes records series which have been created by state agencies, whether at the state, county, or municipal level. Please see the introduction tab for tips on making your search as resourceful as possible.

All record listings will be grouped and sorted by series name (i.e. birth records, muster rolls, land records etc.)

All record listings will be grouped and sorted by the name of the agency that created them (i.e. Hall of Records, Caroline County Register of Wills etc.)

All record listings will be grouped and sorted by the record type so that the record is filed under (i.e. original county agency records (COAGSER), municipal agency records on microfilm (MUAGSERM).)
