Records of expenses related to the Revolutionary War. Entries which predate office probably were transcribed from books kept by the Board of Accounts or the Board of Auditors. Volume for 1776-1798 consists of unsettled accounts due the state for monies advanced individuals during the war. Another copy of that volume, made for use by a collection agent, also is included within series. Amounts given variously as "continental," "black money," "red money," and "specie." Includes rate of exchange. Some entries transcribed from Day Book series [MSA S149] and Journal series [MSA S150]. Arranged chronologically.
